Three series. One question.

Each series is a way of asking the same question at a different point in a life: who is this person, and what will be lost if nobody records them?

A young child sitting on a wooden floor near a window, mid-sentence, hands moving

Small Humans

A child explains the world with total conviction and no self-consciousness.

Six months later, the explanation has already changed.

We film them while they still answer honestly.

An elderly woman seated by a window, hands folded, turned toward the light

Old Souls

A life is usually summarised in a eulogy by someone who wasn't there for most of it.

This is the alternative: the person telling it themselves, unhurried.

Filmed at home, over several days, in their own order.

A woman pausing in a modest kitchen doorway, looking away from the camera

Everyday People

A nurse. A fisherman. A woman who has run the same shop for thirty-one years.

None of them think their story is interesting. All of them are wrong.

The film exists to prove it to their family.

Every person has a story worth documenting.
